Find the appropriate customer by browsing the Account #, Phone #, and Account Name drop boxes.
Click List to bring up the Customer List.
Click continue to begin the process of deleting a customer entry. The first form you will see is the one shown below:
Click 'Yes' if you wish to move all invoices, quotes, work orders, etc. to a different customer entry; you will be prompted to choose the new customer using the "Search for a Customer" form. Sometimes this option is used in the case of a duplicated customer, in order to consolidate both entries into just one. When this feature is used all history from the selected customer will also be moved to the new specified customer's history.
If this option is not used then the following message will appear:
If you select 'Yes' then the chosen customer will be deleted. While you will not be able to view the customer or its transactions, all sales and other historic data will be contained within the database for yearly sales reports and similar purposes. You will be able to open a deleted customer's past invoices by order number only.
