Pricing List Instructions

The Pricing List function is used pricing jobs based on a list rather than calculations.  The list can represent jobs you are doing a special on or jobs for a particular customer who wants a fixed price list he can choose from.  It also can be for items you sell that are not printed but are off the shelf products.

You may never use it or you may use it extensively but the important thing is that it is here if you need it.

First of all you need to create a list.

Select Maintenance => Pricing Tables => Change pricing Tables => Price Lists

If you had already defined some lists you would see them here. You name each list.

Since we don’t have any defined as yet we will need to Add one by clicking the Add button.

Add Button………….Build a new list.

Duplicate Button……Add a new list based on an existing list.

Edit Button………….Modify an existing list

Delete Button……….Delete an existing list.

On this form we will name the list.  The name we give it is shown in the Price Lists Template dropdown.  Since we just got our new Acme Z2500 GTS ZoomZoom 4 color printer, we’ll run some specials to make sure everyone knows we have it.

So we will call this the Z2500 GTS 4/1 Special.

Click the Continue Button……………..

This is going to define a few Sheet Stock types that we have an over abundance of in inventory, that we want to get rid of.  So we will clean house with this.

First add some notes to the list so that later on we can remember what the list is for and why we made it.

Now let’s add some stock to this list.   Click Modify Columns.

Let’s add some stock by clicking Add Column.

The stocks that appear in the dropdown come from your defined stock.

We’ll add three (random) types for this.  Add some quantities and some almost arbitrary prices.

If we had chosen to build a Custom Price List Type, we would have named the column headings what ever we wanted to.  Then we can add quantities and prices to the list.

When we save this, we’ll see it in our list of Lists.

From here we can Edit it, Duplicate it and Edit the duplicate copy or Delete it.

Pricing List Template Instructions

Now we need to use the list....Click this button  ..and get this……

This looks very similar to the Sheets Template.  But notice the list name we just defined in the drop down at the top.  Also notice that Press price, Stock Price Overrun, etc, do not exist here.  The price is not calculated here so it is not broken out into its components.

If we select the list name or click View List on the name showing we will get the selection window.

The current stock showing on the template is 20# Bond, but that is not one our stock types.

I’ll select Quantity 1,000 10 PT C2S from the list.

The Stock Name changes to the name selected from the list.  The list price changes to the price from the list.  The Stock Name field is also locked so that it may not be changed.  The price pulled in from the list is multiplied times the Originals then placed into the List Price field.

From here you may add Pre-Press or Post-Press options to complete the job.

When using a Custom Type Price List, the Stock Name does not act the same.
