This form will calculate the dimensions of the Print Area needed to print the
image, the bleed, the cut marks and the additional space to the next Print Area.
The larger of the dimensions of the bleed or the cut marks will be added to the
image and to the Additional Space (space to the next Print Area) to give the
total Print Area needed for one image. When you close this form the Print Area
value will be transferred to the Printed Size field on the LF template where the
Ups, Cuts and Stock Length needed will be calculated.
In the form at the top bleed area, 0.20 inches, which is larger than the cut marks area, 0.00
(the cut marks define the image boarders in this example) is added to all sides of the image.
The print area is now 24.4 x 36.4 Then the additional space between the adjoining print
areas, 0.4 is added to the print area, 24.4 x 36.4 to make a total print area of 25.2 x 37.2. The
Leader and Trailer Length is added to the total lengths of the Print Areas and the total is put
into the Length Field on the Large Format Template when this form is closed.
If we are printing 6 at a time on this pass on a roll fed printer the print will look like this.
Notice that it includes the leader and trailer lengths.
If you use this form, the Cut Map will change to account for the Print Area instead of the
Image Size and will also calculate the cuts needed to deal with bleed.
