Large Format Details

The Optional Larger Format Template is included in the Print Shop Manager demo so that you can try it out along with the rest of the program.  Since Large Format printing is one of the fastest growing segments of the printing industry, we felt it was prudent to include this option in out demo even though it is an extra cost feature.

To open the Large Format Template, click on the LF Launch button on the button bar at the left of the main program screen.

The Large Format Template is very similar to the Digital Printer Template in it's layout and usage.

Specify  the number of ink colors for color quality and the output resolution.

Define:

• All prepress, graphic or data processing work required before printing

• All post-press requirements such as Laminating or Mounting

• Stock type and size to be used as the source

• Ink coverage to increase or decrease the final price in relation to coverage

• Stock price as related to image size or stock requirements

• Laminate Type and Laminate Name

• Mounting Type and Mounting Name

This very functional and highly flexible template will accommodate pricing from blue prints to three panel displays.

The printer setup form is easy to use.  You can define one printer several times, each with a different name to accommodate multiple uses for the same printing device.

The Large Format Stock setup form is very similar to the Sheet Stock form.

From here you set the relationship of the stock types to the various post-press operations you sell

You can also set your cost and preferred markup for all sizes of stock types you use when you click the Costs button.

Non standard stock can be selected and defined while pricing a job on the Large Format Template.
